Questions about Invoice Insight?
Understand the difference between an expected cost and the final result.
What does Invoice Insight compare?
Invoice Insight brings expected shipment costs, shipment details and actual carrier charges together. This helps your team identify differences at shipment level and review them with the operational context.
Which cost differences can we investigate?
Examples include differences in the applied rate, billed weight, selected service and surcharges. The available detail depends on the shipment data and carrier invoice information supplied.
How does a cost difference affect order margin?
Actual order margin is the customer charge minus the actual execution cost. When carrier costs or surcharges are higher than expected, Invoice Insight helps show how that difference changes the result of the order.
Does the calculator guarantee savings?
No. The calculator shows illustrative scenarios based on the freight spend you enter. The order example explains the calculation mechanism; neither is a savings or performance guarantee.
